Orick, Gateway to Redwood National Park, is on the Northern California coast on Hwy 101, about 45 miles north of Eureka and 300 miles north of San Francisco.
The town is 20 miles south of the Oregon border and 170 miles west of Redding. Sacramento is 330 miles away, Portland 350 miles, and Los Angeles 680 miles.
And How To Fly
The Humboldt County Regional Airport in McKinleyville, 25 miles south of Orick, has United, and Avelo Airlines direct flights between San Francisco, Los Angeles, Burbank, Phoenix, Los Vegas and Reno.
The airport has car rentals, public buses and private taxi, shuttle and Uber services to nearby towns and hotels. Have a few minutes in the terminal? Enjoy the panoramic Pacific view or, on the second floor, plunk on the grand piano and turn the kids loose at the Lego table.
